Brian Nelson is an educator, consultant and author. He provides educational services in the fields of sustainable business strategies, corporate governance and career choices. His educational services are based on 40 years’ worldwide experience and the latest developments in innovative management and teaching techniques. 

Sustainable Strategies. Integrating sustainability into making and implementing business strategies and into career choices is the thread which runs through all of Mr. Nelson’s services as an educator, consultant and author.

Mr. Nelson’s courses are unique in the field of sustainability because his courses alone show businesses and managers how to integrate sustainability into business decisions, operations and careers. Other courses tend to teach sustainability as a separate discipline (e.g., from an economic or environmental or civic perspective) without emphasizing concepts and skills needed to integrate sustainability into business.

Educator.  Mr. Nelson provides courses in business administration, executive education, continuing professional education, and corporate training. Topics include sustainable strategies, corporate governance, business law and business ethics.

He has also developed a very successful university-level general-education course for undergraduates which challenges them and guides them in imagining careers and other commitments which they envision as meaningful.

His audiences as educator include business schools, law schools, universities, corporations and the professionals who advise corporations (e.g., lawyers and accountants).

Consultant.  Mr. Nelson’s consulting services focus on sustainable business decisions and effective corporate governance, including compliance systems. 

His clients have included multinational companies, money-center banks and the following governments: the Commission of the European Union, the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Republic of Mexico

Author. Mr. Nelson’s 2006 publication, “Law and Ethics in Global Business” includes an introduction to sustainable business strategies and effective governance techniques, together with an overview of the legal principles and ethical norms applicable to businesses around the world. This text is available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover and Kindle versions.

Mr. Nelson graduated from Harvard University (BA, ‘76) and Columbia Law School (JD, ’81). He is licensed and in good standing to practice Law in Washington (DC). He is retired from the bars in Brussels, New York and Illinois.)
